I worked on making a spreadsheet for tournament data for 10 hours today. I got pretty frustrated toward the end because there was no way to make the spreadsheet figure out who Angler of the Year was, because I had to write a formula that threw away the two lowest scores. I could figure out how to do that with one score but not two. In my search for a different spreadsheet I ran across a very powerful online spreadsheet written in Java by Google. Within minutes a programmer friend of mine came online in Sweden at about 5 a.m. his time. In Google I was able to publish my spreadsheet and give him access to work on it with me. Within an hour, we completed it. It'll soon be online and completed but currently I don't have all the December scores in. Heres a nearly completed version. If the TDs have a computer they will be able to enter the data directly into the form over the net. If they don't, updating will still be simple. I still need to add a couple columns and some more figures, but its close. Enjoy!

JANUARY DINNER!

These guys are crazy!

Amidst gale force winds and rolling waves the guys fished the December tournament. Jeremy Taylor took 1st place, John Graham, second and big fish was caught by Darrell Cecil - 8+ !!! John Graham said, "Oh it wasn't to bad, That's what tournaments are all about. You got a tournament, you fish it, you don't pay attention to weather." Be sure to read your monthly newsletter for the rest of the club news.

Congratulations to Troy Bellah. He's a daddy. The baby boy at 8 lbs. isn't quite as big as some of the bass he's caught, but our heartfelt good wishes go out to his wife and he. Tylers an uncle now.

Clear Lake Bassmasters Club News

At the November 2006 meeting it was decided that there would only be two "away" tournaments next year. Lake Sonoma and Berryessa. All others would be held at Clear Lake.

Election of officers was held. They will be announced in the contacts menu around the first of the year. The club has not filled the Secretaries seat so there is still time for you to grab this wonderful opportunity.

Jose Juarez bought a brand spanking new 2007 Bass Cat bass boat from Mark Cruther who won it in the Delta Tournament a few weeks ago. Steve Kelley got it running for him Sunday, so LOOK OUT!.
