The shaky head (or standup jig or Alabama Rig)

Now we'll show you how to dress it.

Jig A and Lure B are both weedless and are probably the most popular. Notice the wire screw on these two. You screw your soft plastic onto this as in the following examples, Lure C has a lock that can be used to hold a skirt on or to help your soft plastic stay in place.

Getting the hook to pass through the plastic is important fort a good straight presentation of the plastic to the fish.

Pull the plastic forward on the jig hook as pictured here, then sink the end of the hook slightly into the plastic and pull back in the original position.

The hook should then emerge from the plastic and recede into it to keep the point from hanging on tulles and grass. But with a good hard hookset should pop out and hook that biggun'
